Turbo tied up long term

So this Tom thing has taken a turn for the worse.

Imagine, if you will, our 2027 backline without Tom, Garrick, Talau, and Hoppa.

Saab, Koula, Fogarty, Walsh and Brooks will be there with Faulalo plus 1

With Seibs as coach we are on our way.
Nah, by 2027, 50/50 will be in the office overseeing the joint and we'll have another "gun" Penn signing on the coaching tools ....

What halfbacks did we lose due to DCE?

Hynes is a long bow, he was going through some personal stuff and Barrett is an idiot. He had 2 years in Mackay before establishing himself as a bench player and eventually making he way to the Sharks to play 7.
Would have been great to keep but hardly left because of DCE.

Beyond that, Humphreys? Who aint that good.....or you talking Hastings?

What halfbacks we talking here?
Latu Fainu
Luke Metcalf
Kaeo Weekes
Jamie Humphries
Nicho Hynes
All gone because of Manlys obsession with that myth.

An extremely long bow IMO to attribute any of those players departures to DCE bar maybe Humphreys.....maybe.

Yes we have

Turbo's agent lifts lid on contract break down

Tom Trbojevic’s agent, Paul Sutton has informed SEN Sportsday he believes the Manly superstar will re-sign with the Sea Eagles despite a breakdown in contract negotiations.
Contract talks between the Sea Eagles and Trbojevic have been ongoing as November 1 approaches, when the fullback is able to negotiate with rival clubs.

A Manly junior and favourite son of the club, Trbojevic has stressed multiple times he wouldn’t want to play against the Sea Eagles, however, he is open to leaving Manly to continue his career in the English Super League.
However, Sutton is of the belief that ‘Turbo’ will remain with the Sea Eagles, according to SEN’s Mat Rogers.
“We just got off the phone in the break to Tom Trbojevic’s agent (Sutton), and he said, it's just a negotiation. That's what it is,” Rogers said on SEN 1170 Sportsday.
“He goes, we thought we had a deal done, didn't quite work out.
“It went a bit pear-shaped; we’ve just got to renegotiate the deal.

“He's confident that the deal will get done and Tommy (Trbojevic) will be at the Manly Sea Eagles.
“He doesn't want to go anywhere else.”

The breakdown comes after a miscommunication between Manly officials and Trbojevic’s management over the existence of a ratchet clause.
The club were reportedly willing to offer Trbojevic a three-year deal worth $2.5 million, which the fullback was happy with, only for the board to not approve the contract, instead returning with a deal worth roughly $300,000 less over the three years.
The new deal would include a ratchet clause, meaning the value of the contract would go up in line with the new broadcast deal to ultimately be similar to the original contract, however, Trbojevic’s management was under the impression the initial offer also included the ratchet deal.
The Sam Burgess-coached Warrington Wolves have reportedly tabled a two-year offer to the Kangaroos representative starting in 2027, casting doubt over Trbojevic’s future at the Northern Beaches club.
“(Trbojevic is) a player that hasn't played a lot of rugby league because of injury over consecutive seasons, but in saying that, when he does play, he has a major influence on the game,” SEN’s Scott Sattler said on SEN 1170 Sportsday.
“He's got a major influence on recruitment at the club because players want to play with a player like him and his brothers as well.
“He's everything good about Manly.
“I sort of sit in between. Is he worth the $950,000 based on games and the data? Probably not, but he's worth more than the $750,000 that's being reported.
“There's got to be a happy medium, and I think they'll get to it.”
Trbojevic is contracted until the end of 2027, and has played 170 games with the Sea Eagles after debuting in 2015.

No quotes from Turbo? Only his agent?
