He definitely has a niggle or he wouldn't be rested on the footy he has played.

Either that or Des is playing games and TT will play.

Agreed. The only reason you'd choose not to play your most damaging player is because he's not 100%. With Tommy, given his season so far, they're probably inclined to err on the side of caution.

I think it's smart.

With his history of injuries it is smart by Des to play the long game.

He has dropped out of the reduced squad to 19.

If he was in the frame Des would have left him in the 19, but now we would have to lose 2 outside backs pre game for the NRL to consider letting us play him.

Elliott is a fine replacement, and will continue to do a good job. He may not make the metres in the kick returns (seems to get pushed back a bit too easy) but hopefully he has a blinder. 🙂
