I am starting to think I am the only Manly fan that notices how bad the organisation of our defence is when Turbo is not at FB…

Not a chance Lane waltzes in untouched if Tom is at the back and the squeals made so much more ground in the second half - INTO THE WIND!!

No idea why you would want a fit Tom at centre… we do not have a Tedesco or an Edwards to fill the organisational role…
I do hope DCE, Jake, or someone, was ripping Swing/Blues/Jazz a new one, after forcing an unnecessary pass that led to that try.

Forget the USA, let's send him to Sth Africa

So he’s 1.5 games for the first 4

Probably 6 -8 weeks ( could be less but it’s Tommy)

So that’d be 1.5 games in 3 months

Yeah I know it’s not his fault , and I feel sorry for him , but geez it’s getting repetitive isn’t it .
Does that mean we have gotten through his 8 - 10 games out a season already then? (trying to find some light here)

Year by year injury breakdown. It all fell to poo in 2019. I love watching him more than anyone else in this League when he's fit. You can safely say that we haven't received value for dollar from him.

BUT, as frustrated as us fans are, I can't imagine how he feels though, I reckon there'd be a lot of tears behind closed doors. Poor fella

  • 2016: Ankle injury - Missed 1 week.
  • 2017: Ankle and knee injuries - Missed 3 weeks.
  • 2018: Ankle injury - Missed 1 week.
  • 2019: Hamstring injury - Missed 8 weeks. Later that year, he suffered a pectoral muscle tear, missing the finals series.
  • 2020: Hamstring injury - Missed 13 weeks. Shoulder injury - Missed the Origin series.
  • 2021: Hamstring injury - Missed 5 weeks. Head knock - Missed 1 week.
  • 2022: Shoulder injury - Required surgery and missed the entire season.
  • 2023: Hamstring injury during pre-season. Pectoral injury - Missed 10-14 weeks.
  • 2025: Suspected MCL knee injury - Could be sidelined for over a month

😢😢😢😢

Sad to see but his body is failing him way too often. Unfortunately today was the confirmation that he was brought back in too early. He was loading up the other leg to protect his knee and done the other one.

The most worrying thing in all this is that he goes down and we are all over the shop. Was there any thought over the off season to have a back up plan with Lehi, Koula as FB. Not as if this has never happened before fmd

I’m almost at the point where I think we should play Tom at #14. Bring him on for 20 mins when fit an half and take him off again. Can cover for all players in the back line and could even cover for #6. The other positive is we don’t have to plan around him, it was evident that it took the team 10/15 mins to adjust after he went down. As much as I truely love him I just can’t see him playing 80 mins in any game

Tom is a footballing tragedy. A wonderful club man, his talent undeniable, but his body so unreliable. It's a cruel game at times.
Our lifes is like a game of footy feathered friend
We all get knocked down from time to time
Some of us give up and some of us keep trying to get up and keep going
Tom is one of those that keeps trying
The question is . How long will the club keep persisting with him

Not sure he wasn’t ready, apparently he trained strongly at the back end of the week… and when Andrew Johns asked him about the strapping on the knee he said he hurt it last night… Tom said “it’s a funny story” when Joey asked how 🤷‍♂️

Last week shows that we have planned in the off season. And they won today. Preparing all week to play without Turbo is different to losing Turbo mid game.
