Turbo good to go

While we won today, surely Tommy can't play next week, let alone the next 3 matches if we make the GF.

BTW, what was wrong with his knee?

Dylan Edwards won the 2021 premiership with a fractured foot and the Panthers kept playing him... because the team was still better with him playing injured rather than playing with a replacement.

Same applies to Tom who was still good today although far from 100%.

Not sure if playing today would have set his recovery back or not. Maybe the extra week (almost) will help. I'll leave that up to Tommy and the medical staff.

Before the game I said I was proud of him for wanting to play, and I'm even more proud of him after that effort. All heart and guts: surely that's "The Manly Way".

He wasn't perfect, he wasn't 100%, but we wouldn't have won the game without him out there

Not having a go but … shoulder v Foot is easy.

Long story but had a broken pinky toe once. Pain is pain. Shoulder is way worse.

In saying that pinky ( which you might not need) is worst than you know,

The issue with Tom is everyman and his dog and Rooster, knows he’s busted now if they didn’t already know before. It’s like no one knew that Gutho was playing with three broken ribs until after the game and Barrett mentioned it. And there’d be plenty more in the remaining teams that are keeping it on the down low that certain players (especially the guns) are playing injured.

I’d love Turbo to play next week. But at what risk to himself, as the Roosters will surely batter him.
At what stage do the medical staff take the decision out of Seibolds hands by putting Toms longevity in the game first and foremost?

Apologies if this has been asked / answered elsewhere.....

Does anyone know why he takes, a lot, that 4th tackle hit up?

It would seem to be a tad predictable but also it stops him doing those amazing kick chases where he jumps up, grabs the ball and gets a trrrrrry!!! (ala s.o.o.)

This 4th tackle option must be a strategy, but I can't work out why it's a good one.

So.. um..

Go Manly!
