Tom’s last 2 games for us was a pretty average effort, obviously injured and not himself.
Can’t believe they picked him for Oz in that condition
Can’t believe he accepted
I was under the impression he was going for op and rehab after end of season?
Is that right or he is cured and no op necessary????
Or is he putting personal achievements in front of his necessary repairs to b 100% ready for 2025 ?

The news out of the Manly camp at season end was Turbo didn’t require surgery, required rest.

He must have passed the required medical examination from the club doctor to be selected, congratulations to Turbo, the positive this may give him more confidence for 2025.

Hopefully he gets through the representative games without jeopardising his availability and fitness for game 1 in 2025.

Looks like he has been picked as a centre.

Not sure where you got the idea he required surgery. That was never the case.

No one should ever refuse to play for their country. Its an honour to be selected.

I hope he helps Australia regain its mantle as the No 1 league nation.

I guess he’s not getting paid enough by his employer so has to play for the Kangaroos to get extra cash. On this seasons form & injury front he should not have been selected & by the same token he should have stood down to get his body fixed for 2025. Yeah I get it it’s an honour to play for your country but then again he owes his employer a year of good football & no injures. For the money he’s on I feel he’s not giving a good return. I’d rather he played well for Manly…..I don’t give a ff about internationals!

If my memory serves me correctly, his employer is the NRL. Same as for all players, which is why the NRL can mandate that players must make themselves available unless there is a valid reason.

I agree with you that his form does not warrant selection.

I think a VALID reason might be his injury plagued seasons and his frail body
We all love Tom but love the SE more so would like to get a million a year input out of him for us , just for one full season and see what’s possible

There is no guarantee in Turbo not playing representative football that he remains injury free, I understand your concern and hope for a fresh Turbo to commence the season next year however an Australian jumper is what most Australian players play the game for.

A 60% fit Turbo is still a walk up start for any rep team.
That is so incorrect. Unfortunately Tom does not play anywhere near his best when injured. Even with needles, he still nursed his shoulder. In fact his only worth is to give those around him confidence that he may do something.

His employer is MWSE…..not the NRL. Manly pay his salary, Manly suffer when he’s out injured, we Manly fans suffer if he does his shoulder or bicep or hammy & doesn’t start next season! I wish he was like Ponga & wanted to get himself fully fit for next season! Remember the alleged Corso incident? Seems Tom doesn’t think much about his true responsibilities!

I didn't say he plays anywhere near his best when injured.
He doesn't, but he's still better than most because at 100% he's the best in the game imo.
I said he's a walk up start in any rep team and then you kind of backed it up with the confidence he gives those around him.

He's should be in any Aussie team's backline, he doesn't have to be "the man", just needs to be there and we're a better team.

And at 78kgs appears more resilient then poor old Tom
Seems like you are having a very Bad Graham Hughes Hair day

Resilience is also to have the ability to rise above adversity and bounce back up
Turbo keeps bouncing back up !
Turbo has not laid down and died and retired

Put Turbo on the open market and he is off like a brides knickers to the highest bidder

Tom is as resilient as a 75 yr old
