If the selection of the first trial match squad named of the season is any guide to the rest of the year, some people on ST’s are going to have a heart attack by Rd 5.It’s just a trial match folks, let’s not read anything into it.Fair chance DCE and JakeT won’t be named next week, does that mean they won’t be playing Rd1?(probably not the best two examples to use,but you get the point that people are overreacting)

Seems Souths have done the exact same. Wonder if it's a gentlemens agreement.

You’ve misunderstood the intent of the conversation. We aren’t saying not being named in the trials means you won’t be picked round 1, we are saying the opposite essentially. Hypothesising on who might form the core team is fair based on trial selections.

I didn’t miss the intent at all. What if Sipley and Tuipulotu were picked to give the younger players a bit of experience around them or others in their positions weren’t quite ready to play?

Bully at 13 is interesting . Obviously would need some step up in the link and defence department but coaching staff must see some prospects for him in that role . Certainly would be quite some way to go to be in a Bradly Clyde mould but does have some similar attributes . Weekes looks like he will be in the main squad somewhere which can only be a good thing

Based on your reply you did. You said what if DCE and Jurbo aren’t picked next week, does that mean they aren’t in for round 1. Maybe you just didn’t make your point well.

Fair chance he could start the season at FB giving Tom an extra 2 weeks to get right, given Rd2 is a bye

Really? he did the hammy on Dec 14 it will be 11 weeks recovery in the first round he didn't tear it.

If he is not fit zorba (foe once) is correct he should retire 11 weeks for a hammy and you suggest another couple of weeks.

This on the sea eagles website at the time "
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles full-back Tom Trbojevic today underwent scans on a hamstring injury suffered at pre-season training on Wednesday.

An MRI confirmed a Grade 2 hamstring with an expected recovery time of 6-8 weeks."

So 11 weeks is plenty. If he misses the first round he should pack it in.
