Must admit I'm kinda surprised at DCE being the sole captain. I mean, the pressure on him to perform each game is big enough already seeing as he's our chief play maker and he has that salary thing always hanging over his head.

However, as one of the senior players in the team I can understand TB making him the captain.

I guess we'll just have to see how things pan out. Hopefully he thrives in the role.

Don't shoot me for saying this, but if Twenty is insisting on playing him then maybe Myles/Evans, with Myles taking the in field role for the time he's there.

Eh, Cooper Cronk does exactly the same as DCE, trying to sound overly articulate, but no-one says boo about it.

Would much rather a bloke at least try to sound intelligent than grunt like most of the idiots playing NRL.

I get that it can grate on people, but...well.....tough ****.

I think this will be a good thing for DCE. I think he has wanted the captaincy really badly and is bloody proud to have the job. His issue was not having a halves partner. He now has it.

Watch him recapture his form in 2017.

Meh its not like we were overflowing with choices here. Myles im not sure has asserted himself as a leader in the team so couldnt be captain. Jake T isn't on the field enough unless he plays the 80 minutes.
DCE isn't hated by the refs lets hope he can have a chat with the refs and get them on our side a bit

If he can't handle some pressure now, he never will. I like the Myles/DCE co-captain though. Myles has so much experience
But DCE needs to be challenged, he has been like a headless chook up to now. Make him earn his coin

And to be honest Killer didn't exactly have have them onside did he?

I don't know how many of them told him to walk away ( very disrespectful in my opinion but nevertheless they did it).

So let's hope he can have as good a relationship as possible.

I'm not upset about this. Jake was always my first choice, but he is young and probably doesn't need the burden. Vice captain is pretty impressive long term for him. Jake will bleed for the team, he will back DCE 100 percent and be what a great vc should be.

DCE regardless of being captain has to steer the ship out on the field. This may be the catalyst for him to really deliver. I was opposed to Killer being captain as I thought it didn't suit him, but he was inspirational. Time to be the same chez.
