What is the most number of players Manly has ever supplied to a representative game?

What and when was the game?

Who were the Manly players?

There were seven Manly players on the 1982 Kangaroo tour but don't know whether they all lined up in one game
Max Krilich, Kerry Boustead, John Ribot, Les Boyd, Paul McCabe, Ian Schubert & Ray Brown

We had 6 in 96 play PNG, with beaver and sedaris injured.

in 97 6 played in the game against the rest of the world - innes in the world team.

But 95 was our year.

we had 7 play in the aus vs NZ match.

spud, cement, tooves, hill, beaver, toover and ridge.

in the world cup that year there were a total of 11 players selected, 8 for Aus, 1 for NZ and 2 for Tonga.

What about the State of Origin game in 96 when the Super League war was going on- I'm sure we dominated the squads.

I wonder if it had something to do with City v Country in the SuperLeague war time. Virtually the whole Manly squad would have played.

Indeed. I was looking at the team line up and didnt even notice him at Centre.......

So Sigsworth makes 9 and to think that surely one of Kerry Boustead or Choppy Close would have been a better winger for Qld than Steve Stacey !

Was Boustead injured that year ? He didnt play in any of the 3 origins in 1983 despite playing 2 in 1982 and 3 in 1984 ???

You blokes amaze me. To think that Manly won a record number of games that year - were clearly the better team for the whole season but lost to Parra in the GF. It's a crying shame!

That one as well. I was there and we were all over them for a while! A forward pass from Dymock - a try - they got their heads up and we were never in the game after that.

One of the most miserable days of my life. I still have the Winfield Red hat from that GF and some photos of the pre-game activities. Few of the game though!

I don't blame him as much as the fact that we dropped a lot of ball and didn't finish them off when we had our chances. Our injuries that day weren't great either. I felt like the only Manly supporter at the SFS that day - there were so many Newcastle supporters!

I went to the SF prior to that and Manly smashed em. No different to the other tear though I suppose.

Between Biscuits and Bob you're there.

Sigsworth played but Gerard didn't. Total representation 8. I bet we still won the following weekend with half the team backing up too.

Are you sure Gerard didn't play ?

He is listed in the team at these websites:-

BTW You were right. We backed up to beat the Illawarra Steelers 34 - 6 at Brookvale on 12 June 1983.
