I believe the Broncos and Titans have agreed to an 11 a side curtain raiser trial before this weeks NRL game.
What a great idea. Surely with the top 30 in the bubble every game could have this? 11 a side for 2 x 30 min halves if the players are available.
With players going down like flies due to this new speed in the game its vital that the squad players get fit before having to step into 1st grade.

Why not just do a nines game? Is nines still a thing?

Broncs would do better to put their bottom 11 in first grade. Titans too for that matter.

Alternatively nein should broadcast the curtain raiser and not the main game.

I see the NRL has now limited this to 5 of these matches per team for the year.
