The Indian
Bencher
I was at the game last night and the Knights fans around me were all amazed that a slow poke like Jarod Mullen could run 80m. They were not being smart they were genuinely amazed.
Anyone who stills reckons Robbo is fast (I'm not bagging he tries his best ) is watching a different game to me. Have been saying for weeks we are the slowest team in the comp - I bet no team in the league conceeds as many long range tries as we do. If there is a clean break from a turnover its all over almost regardless of who gets the ball for the opposition. Also MacDougall is 35 years old and he had enough time to have a picnic for that grubber kick try in the first half before Uate sharked him at the last moment... still he is quicker than most of our players.
Now I am not saying its all doom and gloom and the year is over - this is such a pathetically weak comp we are still some rough hope and we had no luck at all last night - we are better than what the score says last night. But I would feel much better if we had at least 1 player who has some pace at least for when intercepts or drop balls happen.Â
The day when a forward runs 80m to score and outpaces our backs is not far away.  Somebody tell me there is somebody in our ranks anywhere Sunshine Coast/Toyota cup who has some speed. I am clutching at straws.
