He could sign a 1 yr deal in SL then if he has a great year hope the suitors come knocking with Perth coming into the comp the year after. They will need quite a few good standard NRL players to go with the marquee signings. The problem with this scenario is that if he doesn't rise above the rest in SL he will become a forgotten man.

Offer him a 12mth contract as left edge. Perfect for his mobility and likes the collision plus only moves in one spot in defence. Not a good outside back, too slow…
