If it was about the money, he wouldn't of exercised his contract to stay on next year. I believe Penn when he said that they were close to making something happen and that Des had no intention on leaving the club.

I can't see it happening. This media speculation is just being used to make headlines during grand final week. Des hasn't said anything because no doubt he wants to use the interest from the dogs to get a better deal at Manly.

Makes a mockery of the Dog's claims a few years ago to be "bred not bought.'
Jim Dymock must be thrilled at the level of support 'his' club is giving him.
If the Dogs were sensible they'd appoint Dymock and use Des and Manly as the blueprint for success.
Perhaps they could afford a few bucks to buy a copy of Des' biography. That would be a good start.
