Time to raid the doggies second row?

ricardo

Bencher
Rhyse Martin can kick goals
Corey H-N can run a line
Raymond F-M ... um ... has two surnames

Surely we can find some room for them. Martin and CHN especially. With Joel Thompson leaving (thanks for your service legend) we may have an opportunity to fit one of these guys in, possibly at bargain basement prices.

Packer would be a great signing! I would be able to give it to my Tigers mate who is still in tears for losing Kapow to us 🙂

The first two you mention cant hold down first grade spots at the Dogs.

And I saw them both play last week, I would not feed either of them.

I would imagine judging by his average performance last week Corey Harawira-Naera will be lucky to be named in first grade this week. He did score a try but only played about half the match.

Surely Dean Pay wont be silly enough to listen to the Kennel fans screaming about his dumping to 2nds. Whats the old saying coaches have "if you start listening to the fans it wont be long and you will be sitting with them".

Never a truer word .......

Attitude and desire are huge factors in performance .... blokes like Packer and Mata don't just suddenly lose form or forget how to play .... it is often why the change of clubs, coach and environment make a difference .... we could do with Packer's aggression ...

Some good names be branded about. Id go after josh reynolds if you could get him for 500k. While he isnt necessarily the greatest 6 he wants the ball, he thinks he can , offers variety and is a manly player through and through. He would be a great foil for DCE , who needs one

A top back rower would be helpful for sure

Also articles about saying he is being shopped

I'd prefer Josh Jackson .... !!

Packer is on a fat contract and doesn’t care anymore, being dumped to reserves at multiple clubs for performance issues. Big no to him. Has lost the hunger. If you can’t make the tigers pack, you are not playing well.

Reynolds? Does he even play anymore? Has been injured for the last 18 months with degenerative injuries and is not close to the previously limited player he was before injuries,

Harawira naera might be worth a look, but I think Waddell is still the answer at better value for next year. Depends what the dogs might pay though.

Martin ticks a few boxes, but can’t really tackle

**** helping the bulldogs, unless it’s a deal that works for us in every way

I really think Martin is overrated, there is a reason he is struggling to make the doggies team. The guy is Maloney/Cartwright level defender

CHN and RFM.....there is a player in each of them. No really for or against either guess it would come down to price. CHN just signed on a good contract so doubt he'd come cheap

Matulino is past it....Packer......we'll personally I think we are better off persisting with the young guys

multiple clubs for Packer ? Since coming out of the clink the Dragons rated his work highly before he left to link up with cleary who had him during his warriors days and again he was a crucial part of their forward pack there, it seems McGuire isn’t a fan though so he has dropped out of their squad

He could potentially be another version of what Galuvao was for us after rusty told him to go and become a priest. I wouldn’t have him on big money though

Main reason I’m throwing him around is that he may be available, and I’m concerned that we only have Taupau, AFB, Paseka, Boyle and Perrett left to finish the season in the front row, we are extremely thin there, especially with Des not wanting to give Perrett any minutes

Why ? Galuvao’s role with us was to tuck the ball and carry it straight, Packer could do offer the same

I can guess what angle you’re coming from with it, but that hasn’t been part of the discussion

I like Packer because he is old school, plays with aggression and takes things personal ..... my problem is he would be good for the rst of this year .... but to get him he would likely want multiple years contract .... and I don't think he is worth having around for too long ..

Josh Reynolds manly through and through? WHAT THE HECK! his name is grub... reserve grade Grub! not fit to clean the brookie change rooms

Personally I would like to see either packer, matulino, CHN or RFM in our forward pack. More so packer and CHN though. I was an advocate for matulino to come across to us when rumoured from the warriors, I think he has dropped off a bit since then.. but still would make a good prop in our rotation

CHN is on big dollars over another four years if we could get him for a few hundred k would be a a great addition.

I thought Lachlan Lewis showed a bit of potential in the halves but it seems Dean Pay thinks otherwise. Perhaps worth a gamble if he's not on big dollars.

I think we should throw some money at Martin and possibly some tigers forwards, they are looking at cutting matulino, packer, Elijah Taylor and McQueen. One of these would be a decent bench option

The Kennel were, um, highly critical of LLewis and preferred Cogger. Pay also it seems.
