He's like 27 or something, yet plays like he is 32. Slow, easily contained and his playmaking days are well and truly dead, it's the equivalent of C. Sironen. I used to keep saying, "if only Sironen could use his playmaking skills at second-row that'd be great for us", although the reality is that some playmakers lose their instincts and play very conservatively or panicky trying to make things happen. Mbye is another example. He would be too pricey and we'd only want to use him off the bench, despite him obviously seeking more. A few good plays every now and then but imo, in terms of backs he is becoming a plodder of sorts.

Maybe i've been watching wrong but definite no from me. We have Lawton anyways, he will provide more energy and is cheaper. Signing Mbye would be such a Tigers move, oh wait, even the Tigers are willing to release him. Says it all

I’d have him at Centre in a heartbeat mate. Coverage in other areas is the added bonus. In fact I’d rather have mbye and get rid of Walker.

Fair enough. I think Walker is a much better centre than Mbye and I'd like to give Tuipulotu and others a crack first. If we want to buy a centre Mbye wouldn't be on my shopping list.

He would be a back-up Fullback to Tom only, but I doubt he'd be happy with that.

From what I've seen on Mbye this season he is on the downward spiral. I wouldn't be getting too excited if I was an Illawarra fan, but I'd be delighted to be getting rid of Norman who is one of the most over-rated players in the NRL.
Illawarra should be much stronger. The region produces many good juniors and rather than buying these over-the-hill players (McGuire is another prime example) they should be blooding their juniors and working on building an enthusiastic squad capable of challenging for the premiership in a 2-3 years time.

I sorta got to like him on the tales of tiger town. Seems a nice guy. He won’t have to do much to improve on Storeman Norman. That’s for sure.

I watch every Tigers game and would say he isnt of first grade standard.

Consistently throws pasess to no one and over the side line, cant catch, is a very lazy defender and I reckon I could beat him over 40 metres.

He could well be the best player at the Dragons in 2022.

In all honesty, this guy is there only for the $'s for what I've seen. Surely the Dragons have bought him on a reduced price tag.
