He played a bad game, sure, *A* bad game. No need to freak out, Lussick is as much a manly player as anyone could be, go get em Lussick. Hopefully he has a side willing to actually have line speed next week so these defensive gaps aren't exposed and so once darcy hits em they can get a round 2 with AFB or Myles (like he did against the roosters) ripping in.

the problem is he has only played about 11 good games in his career, 10 last year after round 12 and 1 against the storm before leaving to go to parra.

He doesn't have all that many runs on the board.

Although he is a more than worthy player off the bench, if his performances resemble those of the past season he'd be good to start. He does need to mature though, that I agree with although I feel he is being judged too heavily off one performance. Give him some time

What if we had won that game?

It was Darcy's first game back. We were getting bashed and bullied by the dragons. He came out firing to take a stand and make a statement. He wanted to try and turn the tide and lead the forwards. He was trying to muscle up. To me, that screams Manly.

His timing was off and his rustiness showed, but his heart, effort and aggressive determination to make a difference were on display. In my opinion, I would have been more disappointed in his return if he didn't play as he did.

I get and appreciate the thoughts of everyone on here and I hope to see a more disciplined Darcy this week as much as everyone else does. But it's a little unfair to single him out. I'm sure he was not happy when they did the video session this week, but he wouldn't be alone in that.

I expect him to have a big game this week and all will be forgiven.

Darcy will be an excellent player for Manly.

It's threads like this one that forty baskets (or whatever his real alias is because I reckon he's been on here before) will quote in 10 years time!!

Most peoples biggest issue with Lussick has always been that he will race out of the line to put on a big hit or get involved in a pointless shoving match or niggle , with scant regard for what it actually means for our defensive line he has left vacant, or the penalties etc.

Signs were last year he was learning.....hmmmmmmm
