If it's here to stay I just want to see consistency. I like that they are at least trying for that and saying any contact with the head gets looked at, it's not the referee or bunkers job to determine intent, that's for the MRC. Anything that hits the head is penalised though.

I think it's a bit crap that you can get binned for a guys head hitting the point of your shoulder even if you were tackling arms down.

Won't be long until we get a few kamikaze head to arm/shoulders rather than the tackler being at fault.

This is the problem, it is so inconsistent.
Some face slaps are getting sin bins and others are just a penalty. They need to get this consistency right! The minor accidental head hits and face slaps should not be a sin bin. Anything forceful you go to the bin, that's fair enough. I think its fair to say no one is suggesting we shouldn't crack down on head hits, they just need to be consistent and find a middle ground around what actually warrants a sin bin.

Leave it as is. It was great scoring 18 against 11 broncos, AND scoring a try with 12 men against 13 eels.

Teams need to have discipline and be heroic in adversity.

I think for starters these players who "lay down" for a penalty should get an auto 10 - 15 minutes spell for an interchange
Also these blokes who are falling and it's obviously an accidental high contact, not a swinging arm, should not penalised as this is a contact sport.
Same with these chest tackles that slide up off the ball without intent, some of this refereeing would have Rex Mossop screaming from the skies....I get we need to protect player welfare and the barbaric game is a dinasour, but the NRL have got to use some common sense, the game is becoming an unrecognisable product and I can honestly say - if Manly were still struggling at the bottom of the table, my interest in the sport overall would have dropped considerably with the recent extreme changes

With a withering audience, the NRL are changing things that made RL what it is...the toughest team game in the world...while UFC has grown huge support with almost bare-fisted guys breaking bones and beating the living shlt out of each other daily.
