We haven't defeated the dogs or eels since the first round 2014.
Beating them both must be a goal for this season!!
But we should improve and are unlikely to lose many (if any) for SOO, although Dylan might get a run.
What about Jake? He was picked for Australia so I'd be surprised if he wasn't picked for NSW.
I'm with you brother love him not to play SOO but Jake should find himself a bench spot for the Blues I'd imagine. Versatile, tough and a brilliant defender - kids been blooded by playing for Oz so he's ready for Origin and will be picked. He'll be close but I'd suggest they'll largely stick with who they played last year minus Gallen, he might get a shot, for us I hope he doesn't for him I hope he does.
I'm not so sure. Don't forget Cordner wasn't available last year and will be a certainty. Shannon Boyd will come in for Gallen, and I think Ryan James is a real shot of a spot. The issue with Jake is that he will play a similar role as Jackson - great defender, clean up the ruck etc. I'm not too sure if they will want two players in that mold. Graham and Frizell will be hard to push out of the team.I'm with you brother love him not to play SOO but Jake should find himself a bench spot for the Blues I'd imagine. Who do you think Jake pushes out of the team (Jackson, Cordner, Frizell, Graham)? We will have TT, Jake and Walker in the blues squad this year barring injury.
If everyone is fit and firing then there are a lot of young players putting their hands up.
TT has a lot of competition so probably wont play fullback, Hayne, Tedesco and Moylan will fight for that gig. I tip him to take Mansours place given he will be out until round 12 (as per the latest panfers update a few days ago). I think Hayne will be on the other wing, Bird will be the other centre with Walker and Maloney at 6 with Cleary 7.
Moylan on the bench.
Jake off the bench to start with is my guess.
Personally I would drop Jackson as Jake can play that role and offer a little more in attack. I like the creativity Graham can bring on the edges, so I would keep him. I also agree that once Jake gets a run, he is there for good. All are worthy of a spot but I feel 4 genuine backrowers is one too many and unbalances the team. So would drop Graham or Jackson, Jake offers better defense and more creativity in the middle.
I would start Jake at lock for Gallen but I think they will bring in Merrin (who has been a flop at SOO previously) as he knows what to expect.
Once Jake gets a crack he will not loose his spot.
If there's a God , and I know we have our own on here @God , he'll gift us a win in round 1.
That and a victory over the Scumdogs.
Anything else will simply be a bonus.
Sorry I was away on God business at a god convention just south of the Nebula, you haven't traveled till you've seen the outer limits. I've decided not even off the back of my Miracles can we win the comp this year so I'm going to sit back and save my divine intervention for next season.

Not on the strength of his display last weekend when St merged flogged them.I hate to digress off topic (although the subject doesn't say "Manly's" season ahead...), but do you really think Cleary will be 7 in the blues team, as young and inexperienced as he is? I know Cleary's a good halfback but I would've thought they will go with Pearce again, barring injury and/or indiscretions. I stand to be corrected though!
