Frustrating game, half the team were as equally as terrible as Gough.

Hopefully the wake up call we need.

The “wake up call we needed”… wow! Seriously? We needed to lose to the triple wooden spooners to realise we are playing a serious competition? Wow? Well, that explains the last 10 years.

Everyone should know by now we tend to play like garbage against lower teams. Look at our performances against the top teams this year. Have all been pretty good. Without those 3 sin bins we simply win. I’m not worried at all.

You mistake my comment, we didnt need to lose the game.

But we need to understand that we are not sure things and that we need to compete for everything and be disciplined to succeed.

Yeh hard to watch that effort, thought even when there was 13 on 13 in the first 30 minutes the middles were off, some poor missed tackles and no leader of the pack to win the ruck.

Lodge for me needs to come in and add that mongrel and toughness in the middle, Alioia is either injured or way out of form and could do with a run in NSW cup for me.

That soft middle was really exposed
The distribution from dummy half was slow and off, plus zero running threat
I am all for the positives and in reflection, we haven't really been hammered at all in in 2024..... but when your playing the bottom team a couple of weeks from finals and leading 16-0, you just gotta win if your serious
A little frustrating to see all this talent and potential keep capitulating, every time they give hopes they are a contender....anyways, hopefully a big effort next week

Exactly - this team has had a habit of not showing up for the easy game they should win for a decade. So clearly tonight must be all on the Coach. Lol.

Spot on Maxta, get that Alpha male into the pack in Lodge, add some grunt, Stefano ran over the middles in the first 25 minutes than Api went over after some terrible arm grabs from Jake and Brown.

One thing I must commend was the crowd there tonight. It wasn't full, but that was one hell of an atmosphere and clearly swayed the officials and made their side rise.

So to be optimistic, suburban Rugby League was the winner tonight.

I'm heading to the stadium next week and I can guarantee the atmosphere has nothing on tonight.

I’ve never understood the Preacher. I was open when he first came over and not knowing much about him… but, he has failed to produce jack **** since. He has spurts of good form, but never ever any consistency

Have to agree, they got him to be the Alpha of the pack and to dominate the middle, he has done it a handful of times but hasn’t delivered consistently.

A lot of people have been disappointed with the current extension he got, hasn’t done enough to keep his spot ahead of Lodge for me.

Optimistic after getting beat by the worst team in the comp, who went into the game understrength and gave us a 16 point head start?

We were getting flogged on occasion by 38 points 4 years into Des v2, before the jersey round. We aren't going to win the competition this year, but we have looked a lot better than most seasons since 2014.


14-0 against Souths was our biggest loss this season.

They have looked better and the margin for loses has definitely decreased,but the defence has not improved

Played 30 minutes of football with a man down, that alone puts pressure on holding shape in defence, though the middles defence was terrible tonight..

Ok,that’s a reason for last night’s defence,what about the rest of the season?
