Word is that he has signed a letter of intent with the Fijian Firewalkers for their entry into the comp in 2009.

The lure of the captaincy was the clincher.

I heard a rumour that the firewalkers, (who just beat the Suva Kavaswillers for the spot) were tossing up between Dan and Lotte Tuquiri for the captancy but went with Dan in what can only be decribed as a controversial decision
