The Non Wooden Spoon Winners table

Manly was formed in 1947 from the area held by North Sydney. In 2000 Manly and Norths re-combined their areas to form the Northern Eagles. Therefore the Bears are the Northern Eagles.

The bears’ spoons belong to norths, but I make the argument that their premierships belong to manly rightfully

Tis interesting as some flogs do try and say that Norths spoons should be included due to the merger.

Can be a tiring conversation, quicker to roll out the cement truck.

Out of interest, below are how many points the wooden spooners were on at the end of recent seasons. Until & including 2017 the season included 2 byes (4 points).

2012: Parra 16
2013: Parra 14
2014: Sharks 14
2015: Knights 20
2016: Knights 7
2017: Knights 14
2018: Parra 14 (Manly 16)
2019: Titans 10
2020: Broncos 8
2021: Dogs 8

Add another to parramatta. The blue and gold Cumberland team got the 1908 wooden spoon, before going into hibernation until 1947.

Don't mention to a Parramatta supporter how many spoons their club has won. It is seem as bullying and mental abuse in this day and age.
