The "No Try" - DCE kick, Lyon scores. Why?

Anyone know why the "No Try" came up for the try where DCE grubber kicked through over the line & Lyon picked it up for a try? If they ruled DCE did a knock on, how do they equate it with this from benji in a final?

No try is correct, bungi's should have been a no try also. Typical tigers charity donation case

My understanding is that technically you have to be going for goal to kick a drop goal. I imagine Marshall's position on the field justified that.

Or I could be completely wrong in assuming that NRL refs are competent at their job.

If Benji was going for a field goal, why was he looking at his backline?

Oh well, reality is the refs got it wrong then and got it right last night. Not that it mattered, we still won 🙂

I was at the game and I think the penalties were 7-2 to Souffs. I can't seem to find the stats. Why don't they publish them?
Any theories why Souffs always win the penalty counts?

I would rather Manly win the match than the penalty count 🙂

5 - 3 was the Penalty count at the end, to Souths

4 - 1 at half time, we won the second half penalty count 2 -1.

Souths only received 1 penalty in the final 60 minutes - it showed
