I doubt it. The spin is already on to paint Joey's "frank admission" in a positive light. Every dickhead journo at "The Herald" has an opinion piece on it this morning, and they all seem to say, "Well, drugs are bad, but isn't old Joey brave and honest for fessing up." (Of course, it's easy to be brave and honest once you've been caught out, but anyway . . .)
Seriously, this was Joey's only chance at retaining his current (Nine, News Ltd) sponsorship deals: come out first and try to control not just the damage but the shape of the whole debate. At the end of the day the sun will still shine brightly out of Joey's arse, just wait and see.
