It really is a massive turnover of players. We have all debated the rights and wrongs about which players were let go and the ones retained. I just hope that our club culture will help the new breed create a new great team. The ingredients are there with the Turbo brothers driving this. The past decade or go was great and now is the time when the real fans stick by the club as we go through this re-build. I think this season may surprise a few of us cause no one out there is expecting too much from the team. That is when Manly traditionally are at their best. Under the radar. As a fan my main wish is to see 17 committed guys running onto the field in maroon and white having a dig each week, the rest will take care of itself.

The boys in 2017 can see the pattern above more clearly than us and would realise they are fighting for their NRL future, which is sure to bring out their best.....If its good enough or not will be sorted out through the season.....keep in mind - with the Extra funds from stars exiting - there are some Top shelf players coming up available for 2018.....we will have money for 1-2 Blue Chip players to really make it a Formidable squad for years to come....

I agree 100% with @sheridanstand78 , as a long term fan all I want to see is commitment.

After a number of lean years the year 2006 springs to mind, a bunch of mostly nevilles , lead by one very inspirational leader, what a year!!

Yes we got knocked out of the finals early but we exceeded expectations week in and week out.

This player group ( and coaching group) have the tools to stand up and make a real name for themselves, especially with such low expectations by the RL community as a whole not clouding their minds.

I'm ambivalent , it could happen, it probably won't but if it does, I'll be over the moon.

But the bottom line is if this scrapped together team actually performs as a team , and not a bunch of individuals then anything is possible.

Failing that, having a real dig, and even failing would still make me happy.

Rome wasn't built in a day, I said last year that 2018-2020 would be when we will shine again, and if this year becomes another 2006 I'll be right in the money!
