Way back in 1969 my older sister used to have Janis Joplin on vinyl blaring in her bedroom. It was about that time i started to get interested in drumming. Huge influence especially this song in the clip. Janis was a real singer and sounded mature unlike many female singers today that all sound the same. Most female singers today sound like little girls and are on auto tune. Janis was a true legend and big brother and the holding company were a kick ass band.

I hear you - the female pop singing is mostly an over produced, boring formulation but there are still some great female singers out there - if you haven't heard this you may be pleasantly surprised
