The music clip thread

And some purple guy.....
.....no, that's not him....I love the crowd, serial killers all....Noel Redding is Irish, don't hold it against him, Jimi likes him.

Fingers Mitchell Cullen. A young bloke from Albany. He was 18 in this clip, he'd be 22 now. Plays the 12 string like it should be played..

Williamson is an acquired taste, I didn't go much on him when I was younger, but I guess with age and life experience, his songs resonate more..

That's why I like blokes like Lloyd. Williamson has the passion, no doubt, but blokes like Lloyd lived the life. To be honest Bert Lloyd was a crap singer but he'd been there done that....Annie Briggs, a folk legend in her own right sang at his funeral, not having sung in public for thirty years, she said he was the last folk singer.

That's the great thing about a bloke like Slim Dusty. He started singing, and left home at an early age, so although he never really lived the life of the people he sings about, he totally immersed himself in their stories and yarns.

From droving to truck driving, war to rodeo riding and most things in between. A lot like the poets of both the old days, Patterson and Lawson, and these days to a certain extent. Not all their songs and poems are stories of their own life experiences, but they have a knack of conveying them that would make you believe they were. It's a gift!
