The Manly Way

I love it. I understand some of the cringe comments but I just take this for what it is and at this time of the year I just like seeing the team and I am interested to see what they are doing.
I'm the same. Its great to have positive stories about Manly, especially in the off season.

Also a reminder for me last night not to take DCE for granted while we still have him leading our side.

He loves his team mates, and he loves our club.

I thought the same thing. What an impressive man for the club. And I think Seibs is an excellent and thoughtful coach. I'm really happy he is with us for longer. Seems to have good people around him too that he's brought in.

Its Nearly time
Time for Game day
Time to put away all the studio makeup and the big scrip talk
Time to play a Real game
The Real Manly Way

I know I shouldn't bother commenting BUT ....... @BOZO the players don't just rock up to Brookie ready to play and win. There is a hell of a lot of work behind the scenes that goes into game day. What we are seeing through the Manly Way is a just small window into all that hard work from everyone at the club not just the players. Your comments that focus just on game day trivialise that effort.

Hi feathered friend @Wombat64 , I hope all is well in your nest and thank you for your perspective view on our The Manly Way thread

Passionate Manly Lovers like me See the Manly Way This Way
The Manly way is all about what made our club Great and that is Winning Grand Finals
Lower our Legendary clubs Great Premiership Winning Standards
And We stand for Nothing Great
But a Mere Neflix / Tiger Town Series

I personally love the series, behing the scenes and interactive moments between the players.....at times plays out a little scripted, as any of us would with a camera in our face, but most looks pretty natural and you can't fake the friendship and bonding.
I do get Bozo's call also, as the real stuff plays out on the field, but i just appreciate the Manly heirarchy letting the fans in a little, to get some fairly basic inside knowledge of the process and build up to 2025.
I mean it at least shows there are ppl at Manly wanting showing the initiative to entwine the fans and players together and that alone is positive and progress from some recent years, where it felt there was a detachment from a media side where as fans, were very much left out in the cold compared to a few other clubs....for that alone I say well done.

We all get our kicks in different ways .

My Good friend Maxta talks about Bonding and I can tell you this for a fact
There is no greater high emotional and intensity bonding between players and fans than Winning and Celebrating a Grand final together

I have been blessed to be amongst the best in our club that were capable of winning a grand final and celebrating with them our clubs grand final glory
Compare that bonding with Netflix Tale Telling series ???
Seriously ?
Absolutely No Comparison !

It seems that the only excitement some success starved Manly fans get now is from a Manly Netflix series
Manly People basking in their own Glory

And another thing
Unless we win another Title
Our club will never be taken Seriously as well

2011 was our last grand final win
No Manly person deserves to be in their comfort zone

1. You're all too old to be using the word 'cringe'

2. What's the rocks thing?

I've been through 2 pages of threads, and I can't find the Rest In Peace thread. So I'm posting here.

Legendary guitarist for bands Thin Lizzy, Tygers of Pan Tang, Blue Murder and Whitesnake, John Sykes passes away aged 65.

Just watched episode 4 - from the comments, I wasn't expecting much but ... I liked it!
The club is not shy to say what they are aiming at, which is to win the bloody comp, and looks like they intend to do whatever they have to to give themselves a real shot at it.
Manly needs to improve to go further than last year but I like the current mix of youth and experience. Go Manly!
