Ron E - luv ya stuff. I do need to build my safe space but I fear that is somewhere in the Horsehead Nebula. Having said that, I am looking forward to my visit to the Las Vegas Hilton (is that you Glen Shorrock) in March. Who knows how many space cadets I'll come across to talk all things Sea Eagles. Yeah ok, I've really booked an AirBnB house with my US in laws but hey, that way I have space cadets on tap. What has that got to do with Episode 3 - buggered if I know. Time for bed.

Well sh^t Will, that's weird. The version I first saw went for about 2 minutes. So I thought, what are these guys goin on about. So I had a second look. There's 11 minutes!!?? So now that I have removed my head from my butt - lovin it. Bring on the next episode. And yeah, Seibs needs to go all in with the F bombs or nothing I've been pretty sedate with the enthusiasm up to now but it only took the calendar to roll over to 24 and I'm ready. I want the footy yesterday. All good and well that Warner is having his swan song but give me Turbo singing out to the forwards any day. Go Manly!!

Looks like Froggy and Sips are the only ones not fully trained. Lodge appears to be participating to some extent.

yea i spoke to lodge about 2 weeks ago when i was cricket coaching at the nets right next to brookie oval where they were training when he had to duck off and get something from his car and he's genuinely such a nice bloke. he said his recovery is going really well and starting to gain mobility and trying to start running again. what scared me the most was when he batted in the nets without pads to the kid i was coaching and nearly cleaned him up, but for him to have a chat with me and a bat in the nets to make a little 12 year olds day was a happy suprise as i thought when he was at other clubs he was just your standard grubby prop.
just hope he gets into his competitive mood when he gets out there in games and jakes nice guy mentality doesn't take over!
I also asked him about the rounds 5-8 return does that look on track, and he said yea everything's going well at the moment and all working towards that goal.

also got some interesting intel about how me and my mate had a good chat with seibold for 20 minutes at donnies (pub in manly) 2 saturdays ago too, but i'll save it for another post

Best part for me is seeing Snake and Watmough there, no point just talking about Manly mentality, learn it by rubbing shoulders with men like them. Also good idea to bring in Tim Tszyu, he seems 100% professional in his own career.
Seibold is definitely a different type of coach, really puts the responsibility back on the players. Who knows, might just work

I thought the Manly Mentality phrase was over used in episode 1.

Not now. Not when u start hearing the players using it. It hits home.

The Manly Mentality isn't a feel good slogan that about keeping supporters feeling all mushie. It's intent isnt for a feel good doco and getting Manly fans to feel included and spend cash on a seat or membership package. Not at all

It's just a catch phrase our smart coach has at the forefront in his off season kit bag.

A major tool to drive cultural change.

Encapsulates all that effort needed to win a premiership. All the extras. All the one percenters.

It's just a standards setter.

It's everything that expected. It's nothing that not.

Seibs has clearly learnt plenty from being white anted at the donkeys. There can be be absolutely no doubt about that.

I'd still question if we have players with the ability to even think about footy and not just tik tok and pranks during those meetings never mind evaluate and then talk about footy thou.

And there we have it again. Our coach Building the tools for the players to think on field, to speak on field. To work **** out themselves during a game and coach each other ON FIELD.

And more than just a inadvertent swipe at DES the dictator all this having to teach the playing group to have a voice🙂

I can't wait to see DCE and Jakey involved. Its amazing all of this Manly Way schtick and the current guys who exude this the most aren;t on the training paddock yet. Hopefully it goes to next level by Episode 5 or 6! Looks like Koula is also rested from international duties.

Also good to see Saab trying to think after his average 2nd year in 22 and Burbo chiming in to steal the limelight from big bro.

Really good stuff. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am loving this stuff from the Sea Eagles.

At 6:24am this morning this was how long it is until kick off.....

That time will go fast and I can't wait for the kick off to season 2024.

I am actually going to be in the US (Jackson Hole) on the day of the Vegas game. I't will be nteresting to see if it is playing in any bars or pubs around town.

I wish I could work out how to add the countdown timer code so it updated live. It is simple code but I can't see how I can add it to my post. Maybe @Dan or @globaleagle or one of the other mods could do it? The code is If interested ts

Less than that, it's barely 5 weeks till the footy kicks off...!
(I'm counting from now until 8 Feb, which is one week before the Pre-season Challenge starts) (because even during the season we have to wait a week for each game, so waiting a week before each game is part of the normal season schedule) 🤔
Either way, will be here before we know it!

Great series and as discussed earlier, it's chalk and cheese compared to the Tigers where it was just blokes slugging it out on sandhills with no real connection....the team appears tight and that is such an important factor, as this was definitely not the case just a couple of seasons ago.
Had a super festive season, but now the countdown is real....excited to see what we can offer as have basically 4-5 very good inclusions who were not playing in 2023 (or very limited game time).
Also I hear Lodge back earlier than first expected, so hope he stays fit, as will be an integral part of Manly's success in 2024.
