Nathan grew up in NZ & Penrith, so he has no emotional attachment to the Northern Beaches unfortunately.

He spent a bit of time on the Beaches. Albeit might of been a bit young. I know Ivan still spends Xmas at his house in Newport. I'd assume nathan would be there also

No Manly team has ever made it to a GF under a coach who wasn't a Manly player.

O'Connell & Paskins made their debut for Manly as a captain-coach. Pepperell was a pom. Lowe a kiwi.

GF winners: Willey, Stanton, Fulton, Hasler. Apart from these four men other Manly coaches to reach a GF were O'Connell 51, Arko 57/59, Hunter 68, Ritchie 82 & Toovey 2013.

I see several of them came back for a second stint... so maybe Tooves could follow in that tradition? Come back as coaching director or manager? Doubt he'd be up to a head coach role these days but would have a lot to offer in other ways
Oh, just remembered... Penn doesn't like him. Oh well.

Can't see him wanting to be a head coach? Doing well in corporate/legal world. Not to say he couldn't do it if he wanted, but he hasn't done any coaching apprenticeship. Future CEO is another matter maybe.

We already tried and he refused just after we sacked Dessie, I think he was close with Des

Did anyone else notice Geoff Toovey in the clubs latest video where Jazz is going around interviewing players? Toovey is in the sheds with them at training with all official club gear on. Does that mean Toovey is part of the coaching/Training staff again? I bloody hope so!

I believe he's been back here, as coaching director / pathway coaching director (something along those lines), since the end of 2023.

He was in the first season of the Manly Way.

As @Phobia says, he’s been with the Pathways team for a few years but he has only recently relocated from Narrabeen back to Brookie.
