Well , will just have to wait and see and then what position the coaching staff thinks he can offer the most value .
Talk that he can play or be considered in the backrow or even as a back up 9 but would think prop with the present squad make up and now with Alioia 's reported recent injury [ is Manly ever going to get some consistent and worthwhile value from him bar a short time a couple of years ago ]
Some suggestions that he does not have the best hands [ Jazz ] so again will just have to wait and see how he goes in this pre season game and ongoing

I will get this out of the way early: I have never really thought much of him as a player, despite his outstanding name. I mean, "Jazz Tevanga" just rolls off the tongue, right? Always makes me happy hearing it. Still, my impression of him at the Warriors has always been a bit on the "meh" side. Tries hard, but minimal impact overall, and is prone to handling errors.

But now he's a Manly player, and may well be our starting hooker (because for some reason, we prefer picking players who are not and never will be natural hookers as our starting hooker) so I wish him nothing but the best. Change of club, change of scenery, etc. Hope it works out well for him and the club.

Tevaga starting with Simpkin from the bench could actually be really good. I hope they play well enough to keep Croker out of the 9 jersey

Simpkin is 23 and has played 47 NRL games... so with Croker out injured, if the coach (having seen what he brings to the table both in NRL games and at training) now picks Tevaga as a starting hooker, then I would suggest that Simpkin is not going to be the immediate solution at #9 that some people are hoping for...

I think Simpkin to start with a bench of Lehi, Tevaga, Brown, Bully.

I'm likin all that Jazz
A ball of energy , not huge on skills, but old fashion footy values - toughness and grit .... we already have skills, but have lacked that backbone in tough tests in recent seasons unable to fight against adversity and this signing imo, is a recognition of this factor and on not much coin, could well be a Super low key signing

We do have a blend of Experience , Brilliance , and Hard Workers as you say feathered friend
The only thing lacking is a Hard Edge coach to give us that competitive winning Edge

What does a Hard Edge Character Mean ?
Some one with a tough , uncompromising and assertive personality

Always agreed Bozo that the coaching is influential in getting results - no doubt.
But .... let's be honest, it comes down to pride within each individual to have that desire and determination....a good strong coach helps this, but I'm of the belief it comes down to the players as the coach can't be on the field to hold hands, they must step up
This signing is good in the sense effort plays are infectious and this is the best part of the Jazz signing imo
