Have been many instances in the past where coaches can manipulate a defensive line to shield halves from the majority of contact, no better example than 2019 where Cronk played the GF with a broken shoulder, they can also avoid contact with not running etc

Backrowers in the heavy contact and expected to make a dent running the ball is a completely different situation where you cant hide

'Mere' words and mockery can indeed harm people, and not only kids.
Some of the more over the top footy fan online posters (aka only venting, just letting off steam etc) would do well to remember this
