People like Mata say words like Neanderthals, barbaric, gladiators fighting to the death! are you kidding?
As soon as an MMA fighter is unable to 'intelligently' defend himself, the fight is stopped! Unlike boxing where it's not uncommon for a fighter to be rocked maybe 30 or 40 times in a single fight!
What I can tell you is that the majority of MMA fighters, are college educated, which is more than I can say for most sports.
