By our good friend Wayne Cousins.

A special wish for little Sea Eagle

"It’s the best birthday present ever’'.

With those words, little Adrian walked away from Sea Eagles training today with the biggest smile.

It was a moment too, that will forever be cherished by his wonderful parents, Bernadette and Nick, and older brother, Dion.

Through Camp Quality – whose vision is to create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia – the club were proud to honour Adrian’s wish – for him to meet the players from his beloved Sea Eagles.

Following the session, Jackson Hastings took off his boots, signed them, and presented them to the brothers.

Next up we have former Manly player Trent Hodkinson. Absolutely outstanding effort from him, champion bloke. If you can get through that video without a bit of dust getting into the corner of your eye you're doing better than me

There's always room for perspective in footy.

Hannah Rye, the terminally ill teenager who made national headlines when she was escorted to her school formal by NRL player Trent Hodkinson, has died.

The 15-year-old died over the weekend, the Daily Telegraph reported, a month after the Newcastle Knights halfback escorted her to the Year 10 winter formal at Kurri Kurri High School in NSW's Hunter region.

Five footy obsessed kids from Royal Far West (RFW) were very excited at meeting some of the Sea Eagles players at Narrabeen yesterday.

The Sea Eagles have had a long and enjoyable community partnership with Royal Far West, who have transformed the lives of thousands of disadvantaged and vulnerable children and their families.

It's good to see the eagles are doing good things off field. Keep it up!

Donna Boyd stood inside the Manly dressing room at Allianz Stadium after the season ending loss last Saturday night with a smile as wide as Sydney heads.

And in doing so, she managed to lift the spirts of a team hurting badly following the controversial defeat to Penrith Panthers.

For the hurt around her was insignificant to the pain this passionate Sea Eagles fan has experienced.

Nick-named ‘Princess Eagle’, Donna was diagnosed in 2013 with terminal metastatic breast cancer.
