The Finals thread: (week 1)

That was rough
Solid effort though dropping like flies
I know you’ve heard it before, but wtf does Galvin offer? Burton was killing it by himself, so they decide to go to fill in centre Preston. The intercept from sheep’s head, why they didn’t throw a cut out to Burton once again. At worst he puts up one of his bombs. I guess that’s what happens when you keep f*cking with your 9 and 7, and drop an imposter in half way through the season. Ciraldo should’ve learnt from Adam Obrien.
By tonight’s officiating, I’m expecting some good old coat hanger tackles, a bit of eye gouging, the hip drop( apologies, that was all sweet tonight).

I thought the Dogs would match up well with Melbourne - and they did. Still not a particularly talented team, but they all put in. Lot of injuries for next week though, and I don't think they match up as well against the Panthers, who I'm assuming will have too much for the Wahs.
Thanks mate, yeah the ended up dropping like flies as you said proud of the effort but not very confident, the Wahs have a chance to end a dynasty will be interesting

Still scratching my head myself, I dont know why Gus wanted him so bad hes proven nothing and on good $
Tough learning curve for Ciro tonight

Notes from tonight

- Dogs should of never tried to fix something that wasn't broken, I've said it was a stupid decision from the beginning and it's still proving to be

- Sexton did more damage in a 10 minute period than I've seen Galvin do since coming to the bulldogs, I don't want to jump on the Galvin hate train and I hope he does prove me and many others wrong after a full preseason but I don't think he is what the media made him to be and that's not necessarily on him, that's the media's fault

- Pezet was outstanding in both attack and defence and had perfectly placed kicks, he needs to be in a starting side

- If I was a club, I would be going after Pezet or Wishart because surely storm can't keep both

- Losing Critta is a big loss for the dogs in the finals

The positive for you guys is Burtons not injured. He’s playing some of the best footy I’ve seen from him. It’s not all about his boot now (although that is still awesome) he’s running hard, tackling even harder. I think the Storm did a job on Haywards good link man skills by making him make 50 tackles. Gus needs to put a rocket up Galvins arse. He wanted him so desperately. It’s now or never.
I’m not sure whether Critter can play or not. But he’s the sort of bloke that will do everything he can to be there. Either way, Wether it’s the Wahs or Panthers you play, Accor will be packed.
And whether you blokes go out, I for one hope you stick with Silvertails into the future. I’ve really enjoyed your input throughout the year.

Matty Nables over the top intros remind me of the old Gus pre origin on field wankfest.
Why am I watching four talking heads at 8pm instead of the game?

I am sick of them. They seem so over the top and scripted to be real.

Actually almost wrote to Fox about them last week. Suggesting they mix them up a bit, maybe use Ray Warren and/or someone else on a rotation.

Winner of Sundays game Raiders vs Broncos will meet storm in GF is my tip

Storm again in another preliminary final and GF they won't get beat in 2 weeks time

Dogs my goodness dropping Toby killed your season biggest flop of a decision in a long time.

Looks like dogs out in straight sets
