Parramatta vs Melbourne - Round 24

If you are the Melbourne Storm coming into the finals with the minor premiership sewn up. Who would you rather play in week one of the finals? Parramatta or Manly/Easts?

belly ache has form for resting players to finish the year. What better week to rest Munster, Grant, Hughes, Cheese etc. than round 24 vs a big Parramatta forward pack?

I’m tipping Parra to jag a sneaky win by virtue of Melbourne resting a large contingent of key players.

They would still beat Parra with half the team out ...
I watched the game yesterday, That Bellamy Mob are clinical and apart from the last 9 minutes they didn't stop coming. Apart from that cheeky "get that up ya" field goal in the last gasping seconds.

They do it every year so especially if they have the minor premiership sewn up they will rest players.. the Eels will be desperate so I can see them getting a win .. crunch for us is today .. we MUST beat the sharks and then the big one against the Storm counts..if we lose today top 4 is no chance

They lost the last game against st merge last year resting over 1/2 their side costing me a carton with my annual bet against a mate on which team finishes higher on the ladder.
Could of written that better, I’m sure they’ll rest players if they have secured the JJ, what I mean was it’s not in their mind set to throw a game and even with a second string side, I’d be certain that they will come for the V.

We need to worry about what we do rather than what Melbourne might do. I think we also need to realise that the Chooks are a bigger threat than Parra for top 4 based on their draw and the Chooks are finding ways to win in a lot of adversity.
I get u about the Chooks thing, but Im confident Penrith (if they have some troops back) Rabbitohs, and maybe even Canberra will take care of them for us.

Without Cleary and their other injured players, Easts will be a chance to knock them over on Saturday. Its interesting how the media go on and on about Manly not winning when Tom does not play well its the same at the Riff, they are ordinary without Cleary and I also believe that clubs are working them out a bit. Kikau is not the player he was and hes a weapon for them. Interesting times.

I believe that Parra are in a world of pain and 4th spot is there. We must get our game right and I believe that 3-4 wins from the last 5 games can seal this.

I'm hoping we jag top 4 but if we don't at least our first week match of the finals will be against an easier side. Wait and see I guess

Can pretty much guarantee a club with the mentality like Melbourne couldn't give two hoots who they play Week 1. That's one of the reasons why they have been so successful for so long.
