Ballin is a tackling machine for sure, but he is smart. He gives great service out of dummy half and that is paramount to the success of any footy team. I like Segeyaro. I like him a lot, but Ballin doesn't need to play the game like James.

Some stats on the hookers you've mentioned that I'd like to see would be, mistakes made. Knock ons. Penalties conceded. Forward passes from dummy half, etc.

Ballin is rock solid.

If you look at, and compare the stats between all teams players, from players 1 through 17, we will probably not look too crash hot. But that's the beauty of Manly! We are so well balanced that no player really stands out in any position. We play as a team. Everyone pulls their weight and the workload is shared. It's a thing of beauty!

You have a complete misunderstanding of the game of football, why does a hooker have to be so attacking and especially when you have the best halves pairing in the league, when that happens you want a hooker who takes the occasional run but most of all you want one who get quick and good service to your halves so they can do the scoring tries and assists.

Kind of exactly as Ballin does and why we use him the way we do.

Nothing against hodges but if I had to make a choice for the hooker I wanted in my team to play for my life it would be Ballin every time
