Seems to be in the Braith Anasta boat. Everyone seemed to hate him
for now reason I could figure. Always thought he was a bit 'meh' but could not understand the hate.

Tall poppy. He was hailed as a future star before he even played first grade. I think he played SOO and for Australia and won a grand final but still considered an overrated never-was by some!

Daly has actually come into his own as Captain of the team. He's always been a well spoken and articulate young man, and this has worked against him as the media tend to hate people that are smarter than them. They pull the Tall Poppy syndrome out of their little play books and just attack, because in a war of words they're unarmed lol..

I get the feeling that certain referees don't know how to deal with someone who asks a reasonable question in a polite and respectful fashion: they expect knuckle draggers and can't help but respond in kind. When Daly talks they literally do not know what to say.

Daly as captain is somewhat of a revolution in the NRL. Let's face it you've had guys like messrs Tallis et al... and he's still got a crayon lodged in his brain from Pre School..

Another little bit of media bias: just watched the half hourly FoxSports News update.. they go into detail about both AFL games, all the Super Rugby games, overnight golf and motor sport (Indy crashes and MotoGP stuff) yet with the NRL they talk about the Squeels losing, Dugan's new contract, Ben Barba possibly going overseas.... and don't mention our win at all..

Also, the refs have had a bit of experience when dealing with coherent captains as C. Smith is pretty good with them - which is partly why "Two contract Cameron" is untouchable.
