Hmm... never even noticed it before, at 2m55 a classic late shoulder charge to the head of Matt Orford by dog shot specialist M Crocker! Everyone was just looking at robbo's try, the commentators didn't notice Slater's boots and I missed Crocker's foul too
Always disappointed me that someone didn't take that filthy dog c**t out permanently after the gutless ref did nothing in 2007 GF.

I have followed Manly since 71, Ive only been to one grand final, lucky for me it was 2008, and the 100th year celebration, I was very nervous, as it was Melbourne, at half time I was thinking I'll take a win 8-0, I didnt relax until Brent Kite scored under the post, then I let loose, I had a flu at the time, and had no voice after, but it was the greatest feeling, as others mentioned, loved Menzies scoring, I also loved Crocker having a shocker, it was fantastic being surrounded by so many Manly fans, I also thought if only we had a percentage of us signing up for memberships on the day, we would be up the ladder on that score, but its extremely remote we wont see a score like that again

My favourite moment of the game was when Orford crunched Kaufusi and he spilled the ball. That was a true turning point.
My favourite moment of the season was when we played the Storm at home towards the end of the season. It was an epic game, and we lost but I remember walking out of Brookie knowing that we would meet them in the Grand Final, and I knew we would beat them.

Last time I watched it I was surprised by just how close the game was at half-time. It took us a while to get on top, but once we did the points kept coming. I was also surprised by how many conversion attempts we missed. Ox was clearly hampered with his kicking, so it wasn't until Matai stepped up and slotted one from the corner that I was confident we couldn't be run down. So that will go down as my favourite non-iconic moment.

Favourite iconic moment: Israel Falou's tears when he realised they'd been belted and his god had abandoned him.
Yes, the weeping monk, agree.
Also, just how shell shocked the Melbourne team were after the game.
The psychological disturbance caused by so many points being put on them.

Wonder if I'll ever get to be a part of another sea of maroon and white like that again @Mark from Brisbane
You’d like to think so Mick. But I think that was a once in a lifetime experience.....and we got to experience it.The Beaver try and the stacks on afterwards will always be my favourite moment. I can honestly say, I’ve never been that happy, elated, emotional all at the same time in my life.

My favourite moment was satts playing the whole game with a broken jaw. I just read about it on the manly website. What a legend of our club.

Not too sure of the connection between Satts and 40 nil . Was it because they were both Jaw Breaking displays

See my rant here al

I am incensed that the manly club is writing about the so called “heroic” actions of sattler on its own website, dressed up as a tribute to John O’Neill. The club doesn’t even talk about any of his games for manly, just lists Souths team mates.

Sorry , honestly did not realize that there was a serious side to your post reference . John O ' Neill of course had three good years at Manly and played a leading role in their i st title so not too sure why there would not be some fitting recognition for this contribution and really nothing to do with Souths or Satts .
