Hi guys,

I just need a few of you located around Australia to do me a favour and download
http://www.networkpresence.com.au/media/10mb.file
http://www.networkpresence.com.au/media/100mb.file

And tell me how long it takes to download each. It should be fairly quick for you as this is located in Sydney. It takes me about 20 minutes to download the 100MB file but that is expected with the latency to here.

I am looking at a new server and would love to see how quickly you cn download this and if its a viable option

cool If you get a chance can you do the 100MB file on your computer later. 10mb one takes about 1 minute from here, 100mb gives a better overall picture of latency.

The server I am looking at is sitting at mascot so should be very fast for you guys

Cheers, no need to open the files they are just dummy filled out files to be 100Mb in size and 10MB in size.

2 mins for 100mb seems pretty good

On Vodafail 4G network on my mobile, the 10Mb file took about 6 seconds and the 100Mb file took 51 seconds.

And I'd like to pass on my thanks for all that you do to maintain this website.

I may not post very often however, I enjoy everybody's comments and they are all possible due to your unwavering commitment and dedication and of the other Senior (and no, I am do not mean in terms of age) members of the Forum.
