Now I know most of you won't agree with my ratings and I am taking an educated guess at what will be the spine for some teams but I think we have the standout spine in the game.

I think the dragons will be stronger with Widdop in the 6. We have the best spine no doubt.

Isn't Sutton playing 5/8 for Souths this year ?

I doubt Whare will be the Panthers number 1 after Moylans efforts there last year

Hayne has failed dismally at 5/8 for Parra before so I think Corey Norman will be given first crack there. Which to be honest will make them stronger because fullback is Hayne's best spot.

I imagine Hampton will wear 6 for the Scum.

Bugger the spine, I look at other biological metaphors. How about the "transplant list" ie the bench. The metatarsals, ie the wings. The femurs, ie left and right second rowers. The humeruses, ie the centres.

Manly has an excellent skeleton and organ top 17.

Yeah I agree with your top 4, but I would put the scum higher up the list.

And as much as I hate the scumdogs, they're spine is not 16th (unless we are talking metaphorically). There more like 12th. I would have Tigpies last.

I think personally the teams who haven't yet played together should be down the list as it is untried. Look at NSW, year in and out, new spine and no chemistry.

Ok my bad, I forgot about Widdop for St Merge, but I don't think he will offer much without Cronk, Slater & Smith there for him and I also forgot about Norman for Parra, but doesn't improve them either.

As for the dishlickers, Hodkinson is close to the worst halfback in the comp, Reynolds is enthusiastic but lacks ability, Ennis....say no more and Morris is not a fullback, period. I stand by my 16th rating.
