Team for next week........

Bencher
With AFB returning who drops out? Brown? Tanginoa? Both played well but we need cover for Api etc. so probably Tanginoa misses out, although he was much more dangerous! If Wright's shoulder isn't 'right' who replaces him? Brown to Center & Parker to wing? Parker stays where he is & Kelly onto the wing? Monster reserves bench if Brown does play Center!! Goal kicking could be a problem if Wright is out, however DCE & Walker seem capable cover. Sironen due back in a few weeks..........quite satisfied with our situation to be honest. So many variables. What about a utility? Difficult decision coming up for Trent!

RES: AFB, Lussick, Perrett, Tanginoa?, Brown?

Sadly Tanginoa may be the one to drop out, everyone played so well it is hard to pick a 17 this week, some solid performances from Parker and Tanginoa puts heaps of pressure on Brown, Lussick and Kelly. Our depth from now on will provide competition for a first grade spot with these boys proving themselves in that awesome performance (by everyone) yesterday

I wouldn't change a thing next week barring injuries.

To build depth,Tanginoa and Parker get another run. AFB and Kelly get to watch from the coaches box.

Cant move Lane.

Actually Walker isnt 100 percent. I'd rest him. We need him fit for finals.

It's time to push for the finals. Bring back Kelly and AFB to build those combinations and continuity. We can muck around with the team at the start of next season.

Anything but Brown in the centres. If Wright is out Kelly will come back on the wing I would suggest.

A bench consisting of Brown , Perrett , Darcy and A F B seems the best fit at the moment . Jake , Frank and Lane can and have been able to regularly play for the full 80 in the back row and providing that Brown can continue to contribute in an effective way and in his utility role . The three prop option can still suit Manly "s current playing style and game plan . I was a bit concerned with Parker"s lack of actual game time this year but he certainly put in a strong and tough performance yesterday and surely must retain his position in the side. Siro "s anticipated return will make things interesting but some normal and healthy competition for positions can only be of a benefit to the side in performing at an optimum level .

Barrett might do a bit more resting of players before the finals. We seem to have enough depth to rotate a player at a time in the backline (e.g. Parker for Kelly), and one in the forward pack if needed. If we have any niggles that players need to take a week off to get on top of now is the time. Our draw is pretty good for the next few weeks.

This week's game is our last chance to really rest a player or two.

At prop we could get away with Rotation for a few weeks. One misses out each week.

Kapows form and minutes have been down of late. Like Walker Freshen him up now. We need him more so in a few weeks time.

We seem to struggle when ever we play 3 props on the bench. For what ever reason, let's just not do it.

I see more upside to Kalepi getting another run and some combination and confidence and being an option in a months time.

This comp isn't won in August.

My team for next week would be:

Tom Trbojevic
Matthew Wright
Dylan Walker
Brad Parker
Akuila Uate
Blake Green
Daly Cherry-Evans
Brenton Lawrence
Api Koroisau
Martin Taupau
Frank Winterstein
Shaun Lane
Jake Trbojevic

Res - Lewis Brown, Addin Fonua-Blake, Darcy Lussick, Lloyd Perrett

Wright is unlikely to play given his shoulder injury so Kelly back in, probably Parker to wing with his extra height.

Tanginoa needs another game, Marty is the rest option although in only 44 minutes did crack 200m so hardly going poorly

I would have to agree, that's what the side probably will look like, although personally I would swap Brown for Tanginoa. But then again Brown was actually quite good yesterday

Anderson
Walker
Parker
Uate
Green
DCE
Lawrence
Api
Taupau
Winterstein

Jake T.

AFB
Lussick
Perrett
Brown

My only surprise is Anderson, the U20s winger. The kid is first grade standard, has played outside Parker in U20s and knows his style, and should be in firsts next year. I'd give him a taste of the standard and bring Kelly back in a week or so on the wing. DCE can kick goals

I wish..

1.Turbo
2.Parker
3.Walker
4.Kelly
5. Uate
6. Green
7. DCE
8. Lawrence
9. Api
10. Taupau
11. Lane
12. Winterstein
13. Jurbo

14. Hastings
15. Lussick
16. AFB
17. Perrett

18th man= Tanginoa

It will be this same team v chooks but AFB will come in for Tanginoa.

We need to keep our foot on the throttle, we need at least 1 more win to guarantee a finals spot. I don't think 28 points cuts in this year.

If we win our next 2, then we can prob rest player rds 25/26 unless we are pushing for top 4.

Assuming Wright is injured:

1. T. Trbojevic
2. B. Parker (M. Wright)
3. D. Walker
4. B. Kelly (B. Parker)
5. A. Uate
6. B. Green
7. D. Cherry-Evans
8. B. Lawrence
9. A. Koroisau
10. M. Taupau
11. A. Winterstein
12. S. Lane
13. J. Trbojevic

14. D. Lussick
15. A. Fonua-Blake
16. L. Perrett
17. J. Hastings (Lewis Brown)

18. A. Tanginoa

I still feel that Brown offers very little to the team that Hastings or Cullen don't. Both Hastings and Cullen can cover the 9 better and provide better cover to the back line. While Brown is better cover for the Second-Row we have that with other forwards. If DCE or Green goes down Hastings or Cullen could cover easily.
