I would not normally say we go back to him but we are seriously lacking in the middle right now and he adds more punch than we have… imo of course…

I was excited when Taupau left 3 years ago because he was past it then. Why would I want him to come back now, when he is a further 3 years past being up to it? The last 2 years of his career at Manly were so poor. Since then, he has spent most of his time playing QLD Cup before being sacked for liking a post that suggests he is not a big fan of high standards.

Yeah, let’s throw him a lifeline 🙄

There’s no way he’s better than TKO, Bulle or JA. Always good for an error or 3. As a club if we are going to improve and get better, we need to stop bringing in these types of guys. I get it we need a few leaders but currently we have TKO, Jazz, Brown, Jake, Lodge (not leader, but old) in this category. We don’t need another one imo.

Probably burned all his bridges in Qld with his Court Marshal in front of the so called leadership group. ESL could be the go now, Marty would thrive over there, he'd be offloading every 2nd carry, and not to mention, a possible Instagram sensation.

JA never plays and is 1 good game for every 4 when he does play, Bully is our best forward atm but imo is best used off the bench… TKO no complaints but he is pretty much on par with Marty as a player…

Jake is not a prop as his ball playing in the link role is his greatest asset (apart from defence) and Lodge is nowhere near the answer that people seem to think he is… I reckon he has played 2 good games total in our colours…

Ideally we bring in a decent prop (I was a MASSIVE advocate for Terrell May when he became available) but Marty could give us a temporary metre eating prop for the rest of this season whilst Tent is gone… on match payments really…

I don’t care either way tbh but I could see some value in it…

Clearly the answer should be a resounding “no” for all the reasons outlined above, plus we already have Lodge pushing hard for selection in the firsts with an off the charts (at least stats-wise) performance in the reggies yesterday against 6th placed Dogs.
