If you were a young player (or any player with upside) would you come to a club where you do not even know who the head coach might be in 2 weeks? Until that gets settled it makes is tough to convince players unless you are going to pay overs

True but at least he’s been stuck behind one of the best no.9’s in the comp,unlike the other Tiger rejects Manly have signed,who were beaten to their positions by witches hats and tackling bags

Simpkin (a junior Origin player) was also behind Api at the Tigers, and was going to solve all of our problems according to Silvertails.

And no one here seemed to rate Api as one of the best hookers in the competition when he played here for 4 years.

I would rather we prioritise forwards...

If you are a young player would you also want to go and play under an underachieving coach that is reported to have of his playing group divided , underwhelmed and uninspired with his 7 minute noodle lecture without offering solutions to his 7 minute criticism?

Should the players be up for criticism ?
Yes off course as we all should at an underachieving workplace .
But we would ALL respond more favourably by a mentor who backs his criticism by focussing on growth and development . A Mentor who clarifies The reasons behind the feed back and offers specific steps for improvement which fosters a positive supporting and most of all "We are all in this together" inspirational environment .

He may be an improvement... but if he's behind the same forward pack that we have now, then the team is not going to perform much differently, in my opinion.

You are right that we need forwards as well but has there been any with big talent given permission to negotiate with other teams? The fact that Da Silva is available now means he becomes priority before June 30. If there was any decent props given permission I’d agree we should target them 1st

Would you want to work in a workplace for boss that gives you a 7 minute lecture without solutions ?

Against popular opinion on here I don’t have much of a problem with it. Having a quick chat to the players & telling them what they need to work on before having a few days off for the bye doesn’t seem like a big deal to me 🤷‍♂️. I would think after they came back from their time off they would have more in depth conversations. If not then I’d agree it was a waste of time but we probably won’t ever know if there was follow ups

Since Mestrov cleared the decks of the Fulton's scurge we have had nothing but division from you.

Yeah the coach sucks and even though we gave him a go it's evident he sucks but Mestrov has made some tough decisions and like everyone on this planet he's not perfect

But he's 100% Manly and the best CEO we have had in over a decade

So take your own advice and show some motivation, inspiration and togetherness to get us through this because i for one believe Mestrov will succeed.

DCEs time is up, he saw this and acted accordingly.

The Fulton's were only in it for themselves and were constantly undermining the club, he cleared them out.

Zorba was a constant detraction..gone!

Look at our Roster from when he came on board and he has basically punted all the dead wood that we all called for to be punted.

And he will continue to do so.

it can't happen overnight, players have contracts. Some 2 and 3 years.

He has retained the players that we have all banged on about "re sign him now"

Lehi
Paseka

Our stadium has been updated ( somewhat) and we get sellout games even with the team we currently have.

Give him a few more years and the juniors he's brought into the club along with the future new recruits will turn it around.

Proud Manly People dont support the ones that have lead the club behind into another crisis with their decisions that they have made and they are accountable for
