Nate, T-Rex will not be in the forwards this season.  Who would he replace?  D Williams will return via the Qld Cup and then wait his turn.  It's a dangerous thing being injured although D Williams got his turn via an injury last season, so he'd know that

Exactly what I was going to say  :)
Before the season started no way I would have T Rex in ahead of Wolfy, but at the moment I can't see wolfy getting back unless there is another injury

T Rex has come of age this year but I don't think that's restricted to the wing, he seems to have just matured as a player and realised he can dominate NRL players.

He's done a great job but at the end of the day he hasn't been scoring a whole lot of tries(1 all year) and that's what a winger should specialise in. He can do exactly what he has been doing on the wing a bit further in.

I think when Wolfy is fit you'll see him back on the wing pretty quick with T Rex pushing into the backrow to crash through the middle of the field and possibly off the bench as an impact player.

Seriously - is thread a gee - up? The guys had two PAR games, the other however many have been appaulling. Against The Titans he was AGAIN shown up speed wise.

Put him up in a fair race with George Rose, I reckon Rose would get him.

He doesn't run with the aggression of Vatuvei
He doesn't run with the speed of George Rose
He has no heart

Nope. As soon as Wolfman is able, get him out there.

I'd maybe also put Whare in for Matai (for the time being). We don't want Matai unfot later in the season.

01. Ben Farrar (needs improvement under high ball)
02. Michael Robertson (needs improvement catching)
03. Dean Whare
04. Jamie Lyon (needs to be better than his last game)
05. David Williams (needs that fresh, youthful exuberence back)
06. Keiran Foran (continue improving)
07. Trent Hodkinson (continue improving)

Keep grooming Hoppa for 1st grade next year in NYC. For some reason, I believe Brett is done (injury wise). At that stage (next year), Farrar becomes the bench utility, and Chris Bailey is released.

What impact is Chris Bailey having off the bench? None. Again, he's showing he's too slight for the forwards, lacking in skill enough to be a decent ball player.

I think Tony Williams is done. This is his 3rd year in and out of 1st grade, and I'm not seeing improvement. In fact, I'm not seeing the impact he made for Parramatta in his final days there.

I think the above confirms you haven't seen many of the Manly games lately Ryan

Matai, along with Foran and Stewart, is 1 of our form players and playing a big role, resting for the sake of it would be stupid. And Tony Williams has only had 2 below par games at most, most have been more than adequate

No aggression? He has been putting blokes on their arses all year with his fend, busting tackles with every hit up, I bet he has made more metres than every back except for Matai, which brings me to the next point.

Whare for Matai? hahahahahaha.

If you don't see improvement in Tony Williams then you are blind or just not capable of getting over you're preconceived thoughts on the bloke.

Ryan, Matai must be in the team.  He's going very well this year.  If he wasn't, I'd be on his tail big time.  And Big T is going OK as well.  I'm a harsh critic and I can see improvement in the big guy.  I'm all for more speed in the backs, but who to leave out and who to bring in?  Big questions with no obvious answers.  We certainly miss Brett's explosive speed, but get Big T's slow but bruising busts.  And he CAN catch a ball.  The backs are going OK

I was thinking the same thing after his comments the other day after the game on Monday night.

you watched many games this year ryan

I really dont get these vendettas fans get against certain players

ive read here and mwse Perry get slagged yet he has probably been pushing kitey as our best prop.

Ive read farrar get carved

yet sometimes when one of the favourites have a quite or a poor game nothing gets said.

If perry or trex mad the mistakes poor gifty made on monday nite people on here would of been calling for lowe to tear up their contracts

I think most of us are wanting to see the big boy use that almighty frame of his and take the ball up HARD everytime. Most other things we may excuse and put it down to 'work in progress'.
Personally, I'm a fan; his game is night and day compared to last year. The only thing that I question considerably is his consistency of taking the ball up hard - but I'm repeating myself now.
I was talking to Daniel Anderson* today and he said it was this inconsistency the reason why Parramatta didn't fight to keep him. Daniel had a good chuckle when I told him Parramatta was our best feeder club. He also hated losing Joe Gualavo (spelling?) and rated him very highly.

*His son plays in the same soccer team as my son  ;)
