The Moose didn't just play union and league at the highest level and go on to a long rugby league commentary career. He also spent a fair bit of time as an announcer at the Sydney Showground Speedway in the 1960s with Mike Raymond and also did commentary alongside Raymond at Liverpool doing the television call for Ch.7 during the 1982 Speedway World Pairs Final.
He even had a go at driving a speedcar once at the showground in the days before roll cages (like in the provided movie clip). He admitted that it scared the life out of him (in those days, the speedcars had an average of at least one death per season at the Showground, and looking at the cars its not hard to see why). This is Mossop and Raymond commentating a speedcar match race at the Showground in 1966.
