I'm still in disbelief that we won that. When Coates scored off that bomb I thought they were going to get us.

It has been great to see us playing with some more grit. But the Storm were also surprisingly bad tonight.

Had a feeling we'd put in a big effort after getting some confidence back and coming off the bye, and I thought our first half was incredible. But once they got that runaway Coates try against the run of play, I knew we were in trouble. And when it was 16-all I didn't think we'd find another gear. We deserved the win, but the footy gods are cruel and I was sure we were headed for defeat.

So for us to get the win from a penalty - given away by Harry Grant, who'd been standing around in our ruck all night and not getting penalised for it - was extra sweet. In Melbourne. On their Old Boy's Day (you know the drill: 34 former players, 73 contracts between them). F@#k, yes.

I've been a vocal critic of Seibold since his hiring.

But that was the best performance of the Seibold era bar none.

It makes the Knights and Titans losses all the more falling though.

Team Victory Song:

We are the Manly boys,
We had a win today,
We are the boys you know of
We showed them how to play,
No matter where we’ll be
Maroon and White you'll see,
Oh aren’t we a wonderful credit
To our locality,
So cheer boys cheer,
We are together,
Every now and then we have a win…..have a win
We will play them all around
At our home or any ground,
If they’ll always play a fair and honest game
So it’s GUZZLE GUZZLE GUZZLE
As we pour it down our muzzle,
And sing out the order loud and clear, 'MORE BEER',
And we will drink all night
Until we are very tired
In the shade of the Manly Leagues Club.

Credit where its due thought we where done when Guac went down, there's a long way to go but stringing three togther is a start both souths and the tigers where terrible but you can only beat what's in front of you. Next three weeks will be interesting. As long as Garrick doest move off the wing were in with a small chance, we should never have him defending next to dce ever again. Still think the Koloa is a better fb option than Hoppa and allows a fit TT2 a starting centre spot in full strength side. Hoppa needs to work on his size and game.

And here's a still of munster shoving Turbo after the storms' last try.

the day I don't think munster's a 100% dip****, the Devil will be wondering why it's so cold in his neighbourhood.

The most inspiring part of last night was they did it with only 15 men. No Simpkin and TT2 not used. Hell of an effort boys.
Yeah i thought us losing Simpkin was going to lead to fatigue in the middle and a loss but thankfully we held on.

I think we need to find a way to use TT2 when on the bench. Can he be used in the forwards for the last 15 minutes?.

I'm assuming if Garrick wasn't our goal kicker then he may have been replaced with that shoulder complaint. I'm still not convinced Saab is a better option than TT2
