Trent Barrett seems to take any loss in his stride, he hasn't established himself as a whinger.

I can understand where Tim Gore is coming from with his article but don't necessarily agree with all of what he has written, that’s the beauty of free speech.

For example, I used to play rep basketball and we were taught that when an opposition player was about to score a basket we were trained to commit the foul, better for them to work for the two points in the form of free throws than give them an easy 2 points layup, and yes we made sure we hit them hard in a non-contact sport.

So Manly concede the most penalties and yes they have the best defensive line so why not concede the penalty and back yourself defending your line and hope the opposition make an error, great strategy I say.

Pure a simple there were some very questionable calls that didn’t go our way, and “G” I hated having to sit through and listen to the riff supporters just calling us offside even when we were clearly onside, but that happens at every home ground. Wankarana or his sideline lackeys reacted on it all night.

What disturbed me the most was how much stop / start the game was thanks to Henry Peri Winkle Wankarana. I hope Archer has a quiet chat to him and tells him to keep his pee in his pocket and lets a few things slip through in future to create a much more free flowing game. Our attack was starved of possession and that’s what I believe ultimately cost us the game not to mention his attitude towards Chez when questioned. Chez as captain has every right to question his interpretation of the rules.

On a side note, who was the Manly supporter that was being escorted out of the ground at full time, was it anyone from this forum and what did you do apart from being intoxicated

I thought he did have a few reasonable points, still a very one sided story but he did make some valid comments.

This disaster should never have happened which is why I partially blame Barrett for this.
He should have watched how Souths butchered this team the previous week and given the team the same blueprint to attack straight up the middle with a simple possession focussed game plan. Instead Manly got caught up in the neurotic nonsense that is the Penrith modus operandi.
Barrett did a poor job to let Manly get caught up in that nonsense. I stopped bothering to cheer after 50 minutes because I knew he let Penrith get in their heads. The game was already over.

so all the piggyback penalties and the penalties on the 4th and 5th that constantly gave them possession and an easy March up the field had nothing to do with it? I suppose Barrett is to blame for the bull**** dwz try ? if the game was fair we would of smashed them our game plan was fine we just had no energy to execute and the Pennys kept rushing us as they had all the energy from all the piggybacks and constant possession. imagine the storm had to endure such treatment or the ch9 broncos ffs there would be an uproar but it won't and will never happen to them
