Stewart looking for Catalans deal

Maybe Barrett will become the coach many experts have been predicting. I remember Hasler having to cope over the 2004-5 seasons where Manly were being thrashed so badly that even Menzies apologised to the fans (vs Sharks 68-6 (2004) vs Panthers 72-12 (2005). .But by the following year they were on the rise again

Over recent weeks at least 2 #NRL players have been subpoena to front up to behind closed doors questioning.

Here's hoping that Manly/exManly Players are clear of any unsavoury associations

I was working as the work experience kid at Manly as a trainer when we got flogged that night in Penrith. The sheds where a horrible place to be.

Another one from him:

B Stewart wanted to play 2 wks ago vs Dragons. Barrett massive blue with club officials, stood firm, omitted. Interesting times at Eagles..
As a massive Snake fan, I applaud Barrett for this decision. For whatever reasons, possibly a combination of things including chronic injuries, he's not up to standard this year.
Finally we're seeing unity back in this team with the players busting a gut for each other.
Best of luck to the Prince of Brookvale. A true Manly legend but time to pass the baton to Tommy.

Could that be why Snake didn't look happy when Fox showed him during the 2nd half despite Manly leading by almost 30 at the time?

If its true then well done to TB for standing his ground. And the fact that Tom at fullback has been a major improvement over what we've been getting from Snake this year justifies his decision.

As for Snake and Catalans.....wasn't he booked in for knee surgery this month?

No sugar coating here, Barrett has made some rookie mistakes this year. But at the same time he's also made some good decisions and the squad seems to be a united one (mostly) rather than the divided one it has been the past couple of seasons. I would like to see how he goes next year if we don't have another injury crisis.

I think if he can get full control rather than having Bozo be the puppeteer,we may see his ability. Not sure that'll happen though.Daley and Origin will be a good example next yr with no clown pulling the strings.

If True. That Baz is digging his heels in, all be it sticking his head on the chopping block at the same time to stand up for what he believes is best for the team, is a great sign for the future. The team certainly appear to have responded to something positively over the last month.

we do know from a poster that Snake did actually go to the specialist so that is fact. On the betting side I think the questioning by authorities has centered around Liam and spreading out from there.

There is no question that he has looked disinterested all year, and has played as such. There is also no question that we look far stronger without him (which is the first time since 2005 that you could say that).

He is a champion, one of my favourites, and has been through a lot, but now he's toxic. He needs to go.
