Stewart Brothers vs. Trbojevic Brothers (NRL360)

Glenn and Brett were very special players iv never seen another player like Glenn so tough yet such great hands. He should of won dally m in 2011 the battle of brookie ruined it but I'm glad that happened it was a beautiful site

In that graphic it should say 4 premierships for the Stewarts, they have added all the other categories.
I completely agree. same with matai and Lyon. we were robbed in 2007 by the cheats and by the nrl in 2013. Our boys deserve 4 they were robbed and that is a travesty to say the least.. those rooster scumbags didn't play well enough to beat us fairly hence the dce Clive Churchill medal going to him. The worst call was the Lyon try. that's a professional foul and aubusson should of been sent for 10. we would of crushed them in that 10 in the former we were in yet... The roosters only conceded 2 penalties that game.. TWO! 2! fing 2! when we beat the roosters in 2014 I think it was that hack Robinson said no team can concede only 2 penalties in 80 minutes... He actually said these words. what an insult even he knows his so called premiership is a rort and undeserved. plus they finished 13th in 2012. Funny how they could just buy 3 internationals and odonnel and then finish 1st? we got Lawrence and horo lol

If you choose the turbo graphic that means you HATE the Stewarts. If you choose the Stewart graphic that means you must HATE the turbos.

Good chance we may have the Hopoate brothers soon too (with an inkling that will may return sooner than we think)

I'm sure there was another Springall besides Wayne @Woodsie may be able to enlighten.
And it was unfortunate that Gary's brother George chose a different direction or we'dve had the Thoroughgoods as well !!

How blessed are we to have these sets of brothers? I'm glad the Stewart's post retirement (NRL) are bein seen for what they are, very very special.

The only comparison I can make is at the same point. Snake whilst undoubtedly special, didn't have the awareness or passing ability Tommy has at the same age. But geez didn't he develop that in later years??? Awesome. To be fair though the game has changed on the back of fullbacks like Snake, so now all fullbacks need to be like he was to have an impact.

And as for Glenn and Jake. At the same age no comparison. When I first saw Glenn I said 'we know which brother got all the talent in that family'. He then proceeded to make me eat my words for the next 5 or 6 years. His development around 08 and onwards was massive. Jake is certainly more developed, but needs to continue upwards because Gifty just took off once he got established.

Please God (or Jamie Lyon) let's see the turbos with us for the next decade. And every time they do something great let's reminisce on the Stewart's....good times!

Correct, and both played u/23 together in 1974, Wayne 2nd row/Locke and his brother hooker .... and for the life of me can't remember his name .... but both went on the ill fated end of season voyage to NZ.

Edit. correction "Presidents Cup" rather than u/23's.

Any chance of some expansion on that NZ trip story Woodsie?

One day, when I have had a few I'll post a story in the "anecdotes wanted" thread. The problem is there are no short stories, all need a fair bit of waffle to set the scene.

The legendary gentleman Roy Bull was the chaperone .... it was on an old Russian cruise ship the Turkmania and suffice to say that at least 3 players returned with their files stamped NPA and NTA.
