I note that both papers are carrying a story about a clean out of the QLD squad from last year by new coach Mal Meninga. Five Broncos from the 2005 team plus Chris Flannery have been omitted and replaced by young players from around the place. There are plenty of centres in the squad so Bell is no lay down misere to play but good early season form may see him pressing for inclusion.

Good for Manly too that his signing sees him recognised for rep duty - we need more players of this calibre to join the club.

Hopefully Ding Dongs form will be that good over the coming months for the Sea Eagles he will force his way into the Cane Toad side.
