Anyone see that hack Brent Read on360 last week talking about Manly vs St BBQ.

He was saying how lucky they are to be playing Manly without Turbo, "the only certain win from the 3 games affected by the player suspensions"

The funniest thing is that now the Dragons have prolonged their own pain by not suspending more players for the Manly game and losing anyway

I'm sure he thought it was more than certainty when he learned DCE wasn't playing either. Got to give him a plus for his undying support for his team.

I'm waiting for The Buzz to take this on as his own story then he can double it up with his unique two conference competition which NO ONE has thought of since 1997!
Yeah Buzz's promotion and relegation system, hopefully the Sharks get relegated and stay there.

Because other than not naming Dufty, they had basically named the best XVIII they could while at the moment the belief is we can't win without Turbo. Then of course we go and rest DCE so Read must have been sitting back thinking he was a predicting genius @:D

Correct when comparing volume. Given Jake Croker and Shu spend the majority of the 80 mins on the field that is what you would expect. We shouldn't discount the contribution of those that may spend less time on the field. If we look at it on a tackles per minute on the field basis then the top guys are as follows:

1. Kurt De Luis .66
2. Aloiai .55
3. Croker .54
4. Boyle .54 (only played 74 mins this season)
5. Marty and Keppie .51
6. Paseka .49
7. Jake and Toff .48

That's where stats fail, because a player on the field for 80 minutes has a far higher work load overall. Players sent out for brief periods are fresh and able to do a lot in a short time. De Luis for example has only played 6 games but in all has only been on the field for 124 minutes averaging a little over 20 minutes a game Aloiai rarely plays more than half a game. In fact based on time on the amount of tackles per game its Jake, Croker and Schuster with DCE not far behind, given they are on the field for almost the entire time each game. Marty isnt on the field as long but he's there generally for about 3/4 of the game and does a hell of a lot of defence while he's there
